In addition to violating her employer's rules and guidelines, ESPN's Jemele Hill started a one-woman divisive campaign that only serves to advance her personal agenda of bashing public officials.
The purpose of the program SportsCenter is to report sports events and not promote disrespectful conduct on the playing field, specifically during the National Anthem.
Hill's injection of politics into sports will only result in fan backlash that will hurt not just a particular team, but the whole NFL. It is obvious that the latter is already feeling the consequences, and ESPN is already seeing reduced viewership.
By bashing Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for his stand on the issue, Hill is doing exactly what she is complaining about, except his stand doesn't disrespect anyone. It is time for other team owners in all sports to follow suit before they lose fans that may not come back.
I think that Ms. Hill should be permanently suspended.
