Shea agreed to shave his head in return for donations. On Sunday, he lost his hair but Memorial Sloan Kettering gained $50,200. Shea crushed his original fundraising goal of $10,000.
“This cause is close to my heart because my Aunt Anne has gone through a battle with breast cancer,” the 12-year-old Maspeth resident said. “I want to help other families who face this illness” the 12 year old stated.
