This year's show will feature some of the most talented individuals in the Greater New York Area, as they perform on the historic stage some of the most beloved music of the "Great White Way".
Proceeds from the show will benefit The Josephine Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide opportunities in the arts and sports for all people to follow their dreams, regardless of their race, color, creed, gender, age or financial status.
The local professional performers hope to foster a long-term relationship with the community groups through future programs and invitations to casting calls for shows and forming an orchestra.
The organization hopes to reach out to many of the local senior and service groups to encourage their members to attend the show, as well as participate in the arts by meeting the performers.
Limited engagement and limited seating is available for August 13-15, 20-22 at 8 p.m. and for August 22 at 2 p.m. To reserve tickets, go to www.thejosephinefoundation.org or call (516) 334-1536. The shows have largely been attended by senior citizens, therefore, prices for reserved seats have been discounted to $20 and VIP box seats are $30. A further special discount is being offered to senior groups of ten or more for $15.
"Our community has a wealth of untapped talent and cultural resources,” said Councilman John Liu. “We encourage senior groups and their members to come to the show and connect with the stars and participate in the performing arts.”
