Deacon Bob Lavanco (left) and Pastor Paul Wood also took part in the ceremony in which 51 children were confirmed into the Catholic church. Bishop Caggiano, regarded as one of the more forward-thinking church leaders, made truly inspiring remarks, ending with the statement: “The day of the ‘lukewarm Catholic’ is over.”
