The decision of the New York City Parks department to close four city pools is not a very sound move. For many of our city residents, these pools are a very vital part of summer recreation.
Instead of closing pools to help close the budget gap, why doesn't the city reduce the bloated bureaucracy it has by reducing those very highly paid salaries to so many administrators in city agencies?
We have endured enough budget cuts already- we need to work on reducing the expenses with minimum fiscal pain to the city. How much more can the people of this city tolerate?
The mayor needs to get his act together and run this city in a way that will benefit all of the people living here, not just the rich, and the special interest groups.
We the people pay more than our fair share of taxes. How about those rich people and special interest groups: do you pay your fair share of taxes?
