We got an unusual email from political operative James McClelland last week, announcing his sudden departure from the Anthony Como State Senate campaign. Truth is, although we knew “Jimmy Mac” was the mastermind that ushered Peter Koo to victory in the Flushing City Council race, we didn’t really know he was part of the Como campaign.

So Pol Position called up McClelland, but he was mum on the reason and just said he needed more time for cricket, golf, and family. Como was actually busy walking the Maspeth Street Fair on Sunday with his entourage. We're sure he had a chuckle at the television commercials airing this week featuring people who looked like they were from anywhere but Queens, sitting around a living room and talking about increased taxes and blaming State Senator Joe Addabbo, Como's opponent.
